Caleta de Fuste
Caleta de Fuste, or El Castillo as it’s now typically known, constitutes a fantastic holiday destination and is a wonderful resort that attracts both families and couples alike. Designed with young children in mind, Caleta de Fuste offers lots to do for the holidaymaker, and with all year round sunshine, has been a preferred holiday location for quite a few years.
In Caleta, bars and restaurants are in abundance and offer a large range of cuisines from all around the globe, a few of which include Indian, Portuguese, Chinese, Mexican and of course classic Spanish tapas.
If you’re holidaying with younger children then Caleta de Fuste is packed with things you can do. There are a variety of play parks and trampolines. Mini golf, archery, tennis and badminton can also be found. The nearby ‘Atlantico’ shopping centre (only a ten minute walk from Caleta) hosts a cinema and bowling alley.
The man-made beach in Caleta de Fuste offers a safe place for youngsters to swim securely whilst mum and dad take it easy on the beach. The adjacent harbour offers a great deal of water sports for all ages keeping all your family amused all day long!
There’s also a wide range of shops in the resort where you can purchase mementos of the island to take home to friends and relations.
Booking days out for family can be carried out from a variety of shops and a few of the island excursions consist of the waterpark in Corralejo, zoo down in Jandia and days out to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote.
In general the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary islands and holiday resort of Caleta de Fuste is a must see for both couples and families and with temps reaching the high nineties in the summer months you’re likely to go home from the Canary islands with a good sun tan too!
