Acropolis of Lindos:
The Acropolis of Lindos being an attractive site from archaeological point of view is situated 55km from Rhodes city. The Aktaion Building. Being located in the Rhodes Old Town, it is a two-storey infrastructure having flat roof along with an arcade that overlooks the road through the sea. The Ancient Ialysos:
Ialysos is found at a distance of 13km from Rhodes covering northern area of the Island of Rhodes . This location was inhabited in the medieval times. You can see the relics of the Minoan community that are found at Trianda. Must see things at this site include the temple of Athena Polias, Doric fountain-house, church of the knights, Byzantine fortifications, ruins of the katholikon of a Byzantine monastery, medieval monastery and single cell chapel of Ayios Georgios Chostos. The Mycenaean cemeteries is another worth visiting site that can be found in the close by Makria-Vounara hill & Moschou-Vounara hill.
Ancient Kamiros:
Established on the north-west seaboard area of Rhodes Island, the Ancient Kamiros is quite near to the cape of Agios Minas . It was a powrful place and one of the three big cities of the Island of Rhodes. Enjoy a visit to this site during your Rhodes holidays.
The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes:
The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes can be found in the ancient building of the Hospital of Knights. Being an in-town attraction, it is a two-storey infrastructure having an in-house courtyard with four sides and entrances. Tourists are attracted towards the displays placed in the museum.
The Palace of the Governor:
The Palace of the Governor is one of the significant infrastructures built on Island Rhodes during Italian occupation . This palace is a combination of different single architectural styles. The arrangement of this mansion highly resembles the Duces Palace of Venice.
