Tenerife is the largest island in the Canary Islands in the Atlantic. It is also a hot spot for backpackers who like to spend their holidays to Tenerife in quiet bliss. 1. Los Gigantes
Go to the beautiful town of Los Gigantes where you can find huge rock formations, the main features of the town. Have a boat trip and get a chance to float alongside the groups of dolphins that stay near the bay. If you desire a closer look at the dolphins, it is a good idea to hire a smaller boat or charter one.
On land, you may want to stroll along the verdant, pretty gardens such as Puerto de la Cruz’s Botanical Gardens and the Jardines de Atlantico that will virtually lessen down your stress.
2. Mount Tiede
At 3,718 meters from sea level, the snow-capped Mt. Tiede is the tallest point in Spain and the third highest volcano in the globe when measurements are taken from the ocean floor. Here you can see tall waterfalls and green gardens of the Garajonay National Park. Experience the local culture by making friends with the folks in the rural villages that dot the island. Far from urban life, these locals still retain the customs and traditions} that have been practiced for eons.
