You could have a great blind date in the „Unsicht-Bar“ (Invisible Bar) in Berlin but you can also enjoy your dinner in absolute darkness!

You can choose between six menus which are not all described clearly. Instead, you only chose between fowl, lamb, fish/seafood, vegetarian or beef. But you can also go for the surprise menu but be aware that you need to trust the cook completely!

Depending on which menu you desire, the prices are between 36,50 Euro an 53,50 Euro. You will be surprised as you will not know exactly what you can expect! The menus are described roughly so you will get a rough idea of what you are going to eat.
You will make your order in a bright room before a blind or visually handicapped server will bring you to your table. Your server will be available for you at any time and he will also take you to the toilet or to the smoking area. You are not allowed to go there alone, since you might get hurt or might hurt other guest. Since the servers are all blind, they are used to the darkness and they know where to go, so just trust them!
The restaurant itself is the only room in darkness. Wardrobe, smoking area, toilet and bar are all lit up.

If you now worry about how to find things on your plate, there’s no need to worry! The server will explain you where you find anything by comparing your plate with a clock. You also don’t need to worry that you will have your food all over your shirt when you leave the restaurant! You will be amazed how quickly you will get used to the darkness!
The dark restaurant is the biggest one worldwide and it is the first one in Germany.
