You are now entering the Oregon area of the Twilight Zone! Just try to explain to yourself why it is that your visual and perceptual phenomena are so different here than they are at any other location. Could it be that you really are in the Twightlight Zone?

Actually, you have entered a vortex, a whirlpool of force. This vortex is a spherical field of force, half above ground and half below. Because of this vortex nowhere in the circle of the vortex do you stand erect. Inevitably the visitor assumes a posture that inclines toward magnetic north which is the corona of the Vortex. Another person, on a level platform, recedes from you toward magnetic south which makes them appear taller, when they come toward you they are heading north and appear to become shorter. Neat huh? You really need to visit the place to be able to understand the impact such a difference in perception can have on you.
