Nowadays it is possible to drive a Ferrari (and many other extraordinary supercars) at professional motor racing circuits all over Spain. Montmeló near Barcelona as well as el Jarama in Madrid are two of the most popular circuits because of their rich histories in motor racing and convenient locations. But as you will see in this article, there are lots of other outstanding circuits out there that are definitely worth discovering.

Montmeló

Montmeló is the best known racing track in the whole of Spain. It has played host to the Spanish Grand Prix since 1991 and recently the track has been used as a winter testing venue for F1 racing teams.

Special challenges for the drivers include hard breaking sections, a mixture of fast and slow corners, and hair-raising combinations of inclines and climbs.

If you truly want the experience of driving at a top level circuit and to follow in the footsteps of some of the most famous F1 drivers of all time, then Montmeló is definitely the best option.

The Circuit of El Jarama

Jarama’s circuit, which is situated near Madrid, also has a history to be proud of. Between 1967 and 1981 it has hosted the Spanish Grand Prix 11 times with the likes of Nicki Lauda and Gilles Villenueve all having won F1 races here. With its numerous elevations and tight twisting corners, Jarama is among the most challenging courses in Spain.

The ‘Rampa Pegaso’ and ‘Bugati Drop’ are famous names in Spanish motorsport and at Jarama you get to experience them yourself. This circuit is a genuine challenge – it requires lotsof nerve, skill, and decisiveness behind the wheel.

Cheste, Valencia

This circuit was named after one of Valencia’s most famous racing sons, motorcycling hero Ricardo Tormo. Known as being a speedy and exciting circuit, Cheste also has mild winter temperatures making it a favored winter testing ground for Formula One teams.

Cheste contains both fast curves and slow curves with an 876 meter long straight, making it a very balanced course. It’s well-known too for being one of Spain’s few circuits that drive counterclockwise. We guarantee an intense, difficult drive!

The circuit at Navarra.

The circuit at Navarra near Los Arcos is Spain’s newest and most modern motorsport venue, opening its doors in the year 2010. It has already played to host to a number of top notch events such as the Super League Formula. The on-site amenities are impressive as you might expect from a modern, recently constructed venue.

There are corners, five of them left and eight of them right and an 800 meter straight which is perfect for generating some serious, velocity and acceleration!

The circuit of Kotarr.

The circuit of Kotarr, near Burgos opened its doors in 2008 and can adopt a variety of different layouts, according to type of race and the cars involved. One other notable characteristic is that Kotarr is the only Spanish racing track where it is possible to race in icy, wet weather.

The longest variation of the circuit consists of a nice mixture of fast and slow corners – 15 in total – and the layout enables some enjoyable, aggressive driving. There are many challenging turns and long straights, perfect for putting the pedal to the metal.

The Circuit at Jerez.

The ciruit of Jerez held the Spanish Grand Prix between 1986 and 1990 and as such, is yet one more track with a fine history. It first opened its doors in 1985 and since then has developed a reputation as one of the best and quickest circuits in the country.

This wide and fast paced circuit requires nerves of steel and lots of skill to navigate around famous corners such as Sito Pons or Alex Crivillé. What’s more, the circuit is relatively level and doesn’t have any blind corners, which makes it one of the racers’ favorites.

If you’re looking for something new and fun to do whilst on holiday in Spain, why not take your dream car for a couple of laps? Spanish driving experiences are easily available on the internet, offering Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches – and even genuine F1 cars for hire!

So why delay any longer? Decide which car you want to drive and the venue that you want to drive at, and we will be ready for you at the pit lane!

The article author happens to be a life-long Ferrari fan and motorsports enthusiast, and has a profound appreciation for driving experiences. If you’d like the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the car of your dreams at a geniune, first class Spanish speed circuit, such as the Circuit de Catalunya, then you can discover many more tips and advice on his website conducir un ferrari.

One of the best venues to spend your tour in Spain is in the shoreline town of Benidorm. It is now world-favourite tourist hotspot because of to its spectacular beaches, pleasant weather, pulsating nightlife, amazing skyline, and intriguing sights.

If you are planning to have a tour in this nice town, you might want to make a reservation in one of the comfortable hotels in Benidorm. The staff operating your chosen accommodation will surely serve you, but it is up to you how to make your stay a memorable one. By being a good customer, you can earn the hotel’s staff’s respect.

1. Avoid making lots of noise. Have you ever checked in a hotel where patrons talk so loud on their cell phones, noisily slam the door shut, or emit shrieking bales of laughter? Do the clients and the staff a favour by observing silence. Don’t put the TV in your room on high levels of volume. Don’t laugh out loudly with other friends late at night. Don’t play loud music.

2. Housekeepers, bellhops, and other hotel personnel directly in contact with you all love a tip. When tipping, avoid being too cheap. Hand enough to make them pleased, and they will appreciate the gesture. Just think: if you refuse to tip or if you give a sorry amount of tip, why would the staff want to go out of the way for you? But before tipping, ensure that you know tipping rules and regulations. In some establishments, tipping is against the rules.

3. Never be abusive to hotel personnel. Always keep in mind that they are only trying to do their best to serve you, and in doing so, they might commit errors; they are just humans after all. Reign your temper, and explain your situation, and give them the chance to work things out. If you really have to raise a complaint, do it in a constructive manner. Don’t fail to thank the staff for a job well done or for nicely solving a concern.

4. Always keep hotel room neat and tidy because the condition of your room says a lot about your personality. Housekeepers will have nightmares if they see how dirty and messy your room is.

Remember these tips when staying at any hotel during your cheap holidays to Spain so the personnel will go the extra mile for you.

If you are eyeing a vacation in Spain, you would want to be as comfortable as possible. Many hotels in Spain have superb amenities and facilities for your comfort and convenience, but the ultimate decision is on you.

One of the most important factors that will impact your decision is the bed in your candidate hotel’s room. Yes, it may sound funny but remember, the bed is where you will be spending 8 or even more hours of your stay in a day. Therefore, when searching for hotels in Spain, choose one that can offer you a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep.

1. Find out the type of bed the hotel uses. Many major chains make an extra effort to advertise this detail. That’s because there are people who are allergic to some fabrics and filling material. If this information is unavailable, pick up the phone to call the hotel or e-mail their customer service. Be wary if the staff is hesitant to answer your question. A professional establishment should give you information about the linens and mattresses used in their rooms.

2. Inquire the age of the linens and mattresses. The older the material, the more moldy and uncomfortable they will be. Remember that the hotel may promote their beds as “state-of-the-art,” but it won’t be much help if it was “state-of-the-art” two decades ago.

3. Visit sites that review hotels. The most reliable kind of advertising is word-of-mouth, and in these sites, you will find recommendations, complaints, and comments of guests who experienced the establishment where you plan to stay. Most sites have a large array of hotels in Spain that are reviewed.

4. Ask the hotel how often they change their bed covers. Housekeeping should change sheets every day for hygiene. Unfortunately, there are many hotels that offer patrons a lower price should the latter decline sheet service. Daily changing of linens should not be an option; it is a must!

5. Upon arrival, lie down on the mattress for a few minutes. If you are not satisfied, don’t hesitate to request a transfer to a different room.

To look for comfortable cheap holidays in Spain, get in touch with Travel Republic.

Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain. Because of this, so much of the Spanish culture accumulates in this area: fashion, science, art, entertainment. Not only is Barcelona a bustling modern city, but it also has 2000 years of history under its belt, which only adds to its appeal. People visit Barcelona for the pretty beaches, the fun nightlife, and the complex culture, and if you are going to be visiting any time soon, be sure you have a passport first. All sorts of passport services, including expedited passport name changes, can be down straight from your computer.

You Will Need A Passport To Get There

Regardless of what is wrong with your passport, you can get the problem rectified with online passport services. For instance, if you recently got married or divorced, you might need an official name change on your passport. Or maybe your passport has expired or gotten lost. Regardless of the issue, it can be fixed online. You can even get passport cards online, which allow people to spend less in order to travel to countries around the United States.

Barri Gotic – The Gothic Quarter

The Gothic Quarter, or Barri Gotic, is a beautiful and historic location in which to start your trip. The buildings of this quarter are historic, with some even going all the way back to Medieval times and even further back to Roman times. Because the roads are a little too tight for cars, exploring on foot is an good option, and many of the landmarks are easily reached this way, including impressive old churches and wide open plazas. There is also a walkway that runs along the Mediterranean Sea, providing the opportunity for a romantic walk along the water.

El Palau de la Musica Catalana – Palace of Catalan Music

One very significant site in Barcelona is the Palace of Catalan Music, known in Spanish as El Palau de la Musica Catalana an official UNESCO World Heritage Site. This absolutely beautiful building was designed by a renowned local architect, Lluis Domenech i Montaner. Full of breathtaking details and stunning assemblages, the Palace is a spot you cannot miss while in Barcelona. Another UNESCO World Heritage Site is the Church of the Sacred Family (Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia), a famous Gothic-style building known for its breathtaking interior and exterior details.

Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya

Barcelona is full of museums, and there are some that stand out from the rest. Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya contains hundreds of pieces of art spanning a huge time period: from Medieval times to the 19th century. The City History Museum, aka El Museu d’Historia de la Ciutat, is another good spot. This museum will cover the two millenia that Barcelona has been in existence.

Don’t Forget To Try The Food!

One thing Barcelona is recognized worldwide for is its food, so be sure to take advantage of it. The best way to do this is by simply asking the local people. They are able to direct you to places with authentic, delicious, and inexpensive food, ensuring you get the best possible gastronomic experience while in the city.

Barcelona is one of those cities that stays in your memory long after you leave. Don’t let getting a passport escape your memory though. Start by making sure it’s valid and with the proper name on it. If not, go online and get an Expedited US passport name changes. Also check out other services, like passport replacements and even new passport cards.

The UK’s summer this year have been yet another gloomy one which does appear a bit of a pattern during the last few years, so anyone that has remained at home could be feeling just a little down because of the shortage of sunshine that we have seen . But the upside naturally is you can find some super sunshine destinations fairly close to home that make for a fantastic winters escape, and 1 of those will be the island of Lanzarote.

In the event you didn’t know , the Canaries are all owned by Spain and comprise seven islands in total. Lanzarote is one of the most well-known with tourists and can be located close towards the West African coastline. It´s much more arid and much less verdant than the other islands inside the chain thanks to its volcanic origins, low rainfall figures and close proximity to the Sahara desert. But the weather here is amazing and holidaymakers can bask in temperatures of up to 25 degrees Celsius throughout the winter months.

In recent years the reputation of self-catering breaks on the island has exploded enormously, producing increased rental demand for Lanzarote villas, both inside the primary resorts and across the island. Most villas come equipped with private swimming pools as well as a lot of other luxury extras such as Jacuzzis and hot tubs. And costs are reasonable, starting from about €600 per week for a basic two bedroom villa with pool.

Puerto del Carmen stands out as the largest resort on the island and showcases best beaches and tons of things for travelers experience. Accommodation possibilities here are excellent, covering anything from low-cost studios to an exceptional choice of well appointed Lanzarote villas and apartments most of which are privately owned. That enjoys a quiet and heavenly position along with fantastic viewpoints down to the coast and across to Fuerteventura.

Playa Blanca is one more alternative should Puerto del Carmen not appeal. This resort also has some amazing beaches and delivers a lot of decent self catering alternatives. On the accommodation front a lot of Playa Blanca villas come equipped with their own pools as well as air conditioning – an important addition as this area of the island enjoys the warmest climatic conditions on Lanzarote.

Lanzarote boasts an abundance of attractions that help to increase the lists of reasons to visit the island and it is worthwhile to discover these for yourself, so with so much to offer hiring a car or a mini bus if you are in a group is hands down the best way to make the most of your visit, but if you don’t like driving abroad then guided trips cover both land and sea, visiting the most suitable attractions the island has on a daily basis. In contrast there are plenty of sports you could take part in, such as mountain biking (and yes there are some big ones), climbing and also hiking if you prefer to keep your exercise low key.

So there you’ve got it, a very short breakdown of this amazing island. In the event you would like to find out much more an exceptional resource is the Lanzarote guidebook which has every thing you need to know in case you are planning pay a visit to the island.

If you are planning to spend your Cheap Holidays in Spain, try to schedule your trip to coincide with the many fiestas that Spaniards celebrate. Spanish festivals are surely interesting events to experience. Here are just a few of the most famous ones that should be included in your itinerary.

1. La Tomatina
Have some fun and get messy by partaking in the La Tomatina, also known as the Valencia Tomato Fight Festival. During the event, around 30,000 people throw over 240,000 pounds of tomatoes at each other. Surely a variation of a fun snowball fight.

2. San Sebastian
If you are planning to visit hotels in Spain in January, do not miss the San Sebastian festival in Basque Country. Dance to rhythmic beat of drums as hundreds of groups of drummers parade through the city streets. The next day, you can watch the Tamborrada Infantil where young kids beat on their percussion instruments.

3. Fallas de San Jose
The Fallas de San Jose fiesta is a festival that has been a round since the Middle Ages. It is chock-full of exciting activities which includes a night time parade, a procession that goes through the old towns of Valencia, flower offerings to the Nuestra Senora de los Desamparados, and the burning of grotesque cardboard figure cutouts during the Nit del Foc. Fallas de San Jose is celebrated on March.

4. Feria de Abril
The Feria de Abril festival is celebrated shortly after Holy Week in Andalucia. It features multicolored tents, wreathes, and paper lanterns that adorn structures andabodes. All throughout the day, excitement is heightened through the performance of cantaores, or flamenco singers, and bailaoras, or dancers.

5. Fiestas Patronales de la Virgen de Gracia
If your trip falls on a September, make sure you join the Fiestas Caudete, which honors the La Virgen de Gracia. The celebration features spectacular fireworks displays, processions, flower offerings, and concerts. Lovers of fun should not fail to join in this event.

If you want to join these wonderful festivals, book your holiday destinations to Spain through Travel Republic.
