This is an easy way to explain the role of Free soccer drills to the players. There are no set rules. Being the coach you have the freedom to innovate and make your own drills and games.
Be on the lookout for new ideas to modify the soccer exercises and alter them to suit the requirements. For starters I have shared my experiences for forming a creative soccer training program.
Be open to new ideas. It is natural that all your plans may not work out as desired. The kids will fall sick or may not turn up if it rains. All the potential obstructions are listed ensure they are handled properly.
Soccer practice games in multiple numbers should be planned. If there is any delay in executing the plan you can go to the next item by deleting it. Go through the motions and you can figure out what works best with the kids.
Make sure your kids warm up before every practice session. Apart from the regular soccer drills that warm up the body, make them use the soccer ball as well. The kids can rotate the ball between their feet’s; kick the ball back and forth using their feet.
The free soccer drills used for warming up are designed with a fun element and are available in plenty.
It’s pertinent every player has access to a soccer ball. Many individual activities should be planned that can be performed using the ball. Activities such as shooting, dribbling and hitting the ball against the wall should be practiced. In order to prevent any restriction in movement of the players avoid using any lines or marks.
Upon completion of individual activities in soccer coaching the players should be involved in some group activities. There is a lot of fun in drills like passing and receiving the balls. Make the kids play soccer grouped into team without a goalkeeper. Don’t restrict the players by setting boundaries, at the same time they should be allowed to hit the goals.
The players should be taught to defend after learning to attack. This style of coaching will enable the players to develop their own style.
During group activities the players should be grouped together as a team. Usually, when shifting from individual to group activities, the kids take time to adjust to the concept of team play. The nature of interaction between coach and the players should be that of guidance only.
Highlight the need to support each other in order to win matches. The players learn to work as a team, practice in a limited area while not doing much the ball, this is the biggest impact of this drill.
One of the easiest ways to conduct soccer exercise is this. Be innovative and integrate different free soccer drills which will be helpful to the kids to learn.
